Tracey Clark Candidate Bio 2024

February 25, 2024

Describe any previous branch positions and years you served.

I have served my branch as President, Treasurer and am currently Secretary.

Describe any AAUW California positions and years you served.

Advisor to DEI Coordinator, 2023-Present

Talk about any AAUW California conventions you attended in the last five years.

I have been serving AAUW California as Secretary since 2022. Prior to that I was the Communications Committee chairperson and Board Director for 2020-2022.

Talk about any pertinent community activities or connections and their corresponding dates.

I am involved in the local community with the Rotary with which I organize our collaboration with Joanie’s Purse Project. This is a local group that collects gently used purses and new toiletries to donate to women in transition from women’s shelters and housing placements. I also volunteer for a Rotary RYLA a youth leadership camp designed to encourage teen girls and boys to gain confidence and use teamwork to achieve goals and become leaders.

Describe your employment/professional experience, including current employment.

I worked in IT for over 30 years, then switched over to Human Resources in the retirement and benefits administration area. I am currently unemployed/semi-retired.

Describe any other special skills or experience.

As for Secretarial skills I have held the Secretary position for my branch, the state and for my local Rotary club for the last two years. That’s a lot of minutes!

Give your reasons for running for this office.

I am able to complete most tasks for this office at any time of day which works for me as I am a notorious night owl.

Are you available to visit branches statewide?

Yes
