Womens-History-MonthThursday, 3/01

Thoughtful Thursday: No Nascas
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the
Social Justice & Equity Center(OC3445)
Discuss Puerto Rican women’s experiences
with reproductive control in the 20th century.

Thursday, 3/08

College Hour: International Women’s Day
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the
Oceanside Campus Quad
MCC Alum Jazmine Rogers will perform. Local
women’s groups will be there with information.

Campus College Hour and
No Más Bebés Screening
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in San Elijo Conference Room
Watch No Mas Bebes, a film about rarely
discussed sterilization of Latina women in LA in
the 60’s and 70’s.

Monday, 3/12

No Más Bebés Screening and Panel
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM in the
Oceanside Campus, Aztlan A&B
Watch No Más Bebés, a film about rarely
discussed sterilization of Latina women
in LA in the 1960s and 1970s. Supported
by a panel of women involved.

Frida Screening
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM in the
Oceanside Campus, Aztlan B
Hear about Salma Hayek’s #metoo
experiences and watch her masterpiece, Frida.

Poster Session
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM in the
Oceanside Campus, Aztlan A&B
View the work produced by students in
MiraCosta College classes examining gender.

Wednesday, 4/04

No Más Bebés Screening
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the
Community Learning Center (CLC)
Watch No Más Bebés, a film about rarely
discussed sterilization of Latina women in
LA in the 1960s and 1970s. Supported by
a panel of women involved.
