Cheryl Sorokin, program chair of the Marin branch who also holds positions on the State and National level, hosted a meeting on October 18, 2023 featuring Chantel Walker, Assistant Director of the Marin County Library, who spoke about the book banning movement that is sweeping across the country. During the Q & A several questions were discussed about AAUW California’s School Board Project.
Thirty members from the branch joined the meeting for an informative and engaging discussion about the movement and what individuals can do to protect our freedom to read.
