On September 14, 2025, the AAUW Los Angeles County IBC, in partnership with the United Nations Association San Fernando Valley Chapter, hosted a two-hour webinar “Harnessing AI for Education and Mental Health” featuring Dr. Marina A. Badillo-Diaz, adjunct professor and owner of the blog “The AI Social Worker”.
Dr. Badillo-Diaz spoke about the future of generative AI and its impact on education and mental health. She discussed how AI works, explored trends, showed live demos, and discussed the benefits, concerns, and ethics of how AI is shaping our future.
