Help Our Members Affected by the Los Angeles Area Fires

The AAUW branches (Pasadena, Alhambra-San Gabriel, San Fernando, and Glendale) affected by the LA fires (LAF) are actively determining which members have lost homes, had damage, or been displaced. By using the model set up by the Paradise Branch when the Paradise Fire displaced members, these branches are working with AAUW California President Charmen Goehring, AAUW California Office Manager Julika Barrett, and Paradise Branch member and former state director Carol Holzgrafe to set up a concerted effort to assist affected branch members.

How You Can Help

AAUW California is collecting gift cards on behalf of LAF victims for distribution to those members identified as having been affected.

Gift cards are very helpful in assisting fire victims.

Bank gift cards like Visa and Mastercard are useful because they can be used for anything the victims may need. Other useful gift cards include those for gas stations, grocery stores, drug stores, Amazon, Target, and other brand stores.
