Martin Luther King Jr. Recognition Award Recognizes AAUW California Branches

The steering committee of the San Ramon Valley Diversity Coalition (SRVDC) has selected the Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek and San Ramon branches of AAUW (the American Association of University Women) as the recipients of this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Recognition Award. The award honors organizations or individuals that exemplify Dr. King’s values of justice, equality, and service to others and that have consistently demonstrated through unwavering commitment to advancing equity in our community.

Indeed, our efforts are focused on justice and equity in all facets of our lives, and we are continuing to partner with the San Ramon branch, other AAUW branches, and other community organizations such as SRVDC to bring more strength to these ideals, activities, and advocacy.”

You are invited to join us at the Martin Luther King Jr. event, to be held at 2pm on January 19th at San Ramon City Hall located at 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road, for the formal recognition of our award and a true celebration of all things that Martin Luther King stands for.
