Tech Trek was first held at the University of California, Davis, in the summer of 2011. Campers from northern California attend Tech Trek at UC Davis. The campus offers campers a variety of on-campus field trips and workshops, including visits to the nationally known School of Veterinary Medicine. All field trips and workshops are project based and expose campers to a wide range of STEM fields.
Some highlights of the camp typically include Professional Women’s Evening, boat races (in a pool), a tour of the UCD Vet Med facilities, as well as other field trips, in addition to five core STEM classes.
