2025 State Named Gift Honoree

Kathleen Doty

Alhambra-San Gabriel Branch

Kathleen Doty was presented with the 2025 State Named Gift Award at the virtual Annual Event on April 26, 2025.

She joined the Alhambra-San Gabriel Branch of AAUW in 1985 and has not looked back.

She was AAUW-CA State President in 2012. She was the Los Angeles County Interbranch Council Chair. She has been the Alhambra-San Gabriel Branch president 3 times and has done most branch jobs. She has served on the state board as Secretary and Parliamentarian, and on various state committees. Kathleen and her husband James started the Colorful Stories program to give books on diversity to local schools. She hosted dinners with her late husband and now her sister, where raffle tickets are sold and all the proceeds are given to the Fund.
