Let’s face it! We’re all fed up with the culture wars being waged at the expense of our schools and students. You all know that AAUW California is trying to do something about it by encouraging all of you to get out there and attend a school board meeting. You want to do your part, but maybe you feel like you don’t understand the issues well enough, or you don’t think you’d know what to say. No worries! At the “How to Advocate for AAUW’s Position on Protections for Transgender Students at School Board Meetings,” you’ll have the opportunity to watch a pro and con presentation by members of the School Board Project, and meet with your fellow members to help each other sort through your feelings around this complex and sensitive topic.

Undecided about the upcoming bylaw amendment vote regarding eliminating our degree requirement for membership in AAUW? Come learn about why this is under consideration. Share your point of view and maybe hear a new one. We welcome polite discourse only.
