Join AAUW California Leadership in exploring the book “The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves” by Dr. Shawn Ginwright. The book is grounded in research and Ginwright’s own wisdom, insight, and lived experience as an African American social scientist, leader, and movement builder.

It also includes practical reflection prompts that invite us to uncover our biases, discover new lenses, and boldly assert our need for connection, transformation, trust, wholeness, and healing.

It acknowledges that our current broken systems hold us back, predefine our dreams, and limit our collective capacity to imagine a better future together.
