Speech Trek was an annual speech contest that began in 2007 and was AAUW California’s signature high school program. The contest was open to girls and boys who are actively enrolled in high school (grades 9-12). The contests began at the branch level with the contestants preparing an original 5-6 minute speech. First place branch winners’ videos from each participating branch were judged, with the top three contestants advancing to the state finals.
The program concluded with the final competition in 2025.
