In 1998 our signature program, Tech Trek, was established on the campus of Stanford University. Over the past 23 years Tech Trek has experienced tremendous increases in participation and campus involvement. We’ve seen the program embraced at the national level with ten states providing a Tech Trek experience. We managed the transition to be part of the AAUW National program. We responded to an unprecedented pandemic by retooling to provide a virtual experience that continued to engage girls in STEM-related activities .
Through all of these changes we have inspired thousands of girls.
2021 brings a new life to Tech Trek with an investment in the future. The AAUW California Board of Directors has formed the Tech Trek of the Future task force charged to chart a course to make Tech Trek the premier STEM camp in California.
Our work begins with the formation of the team which will include camp representatives, AAUW California leaders and AAUW National participants.
This task force represents a forward-looking commitment to keeping Tech Trek innovative and impactful.
Branch Tech Trek Coordinators/Treasurers have an opportunity to provide feedback via focus groups. Registration is required.
