The Sonora Branch announced that Megan Bressel, former Tech Trek camper and Summerville High School senior, has achieved the prestigious status of Eagle Scout. As reported in The Union Democrat, Megan, age 17, was recognized by the Boy Scouts of America as one of the U.S.A.’s first female Eagle Scouts.
Megan faced a 45-minute panel to present her community project, leading a
team of 50 volunteers in cleaning and restoring historic headstones in the
Old City Cemetery in Sonora.
