I have attended all state conventions and annual meetings during the past five years. For four of those events I had an active role as a state director and the year I was not on the board I represented my branch as an attendee.

I have been a member/officer of the following 501c organizations: Phi Delta Kappa International (2001-present) current secretary, California Garden Clubs Inc (2007-present) current state Vice President, OnStage Playhouse (1998-present) current President, Soledad Club (2015-present) current President, Interview Coordinator Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program (1995-2009), Speaker’s Bureau Pre-School California (2003-2007)
Talk about any AAUW National conventions you have attended.
I have attended the last two conventions. I have attended all conventions in Washington,DC (who can resist Lobby Day) as well as three other out of state national conventions.
Describe any AAUW National positions and years you served.
I have not served on any national positions.
Describe your employment/professional experience, including current employment.
My career is in public education both as a teacher, resource administrator, school vice principal and school principal. As a middle school teacher I taught English, history, English as a Second Language, Leadership (ASB) and various electives. I was selected three times for the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program and taught for a year each in Scotland, Wales and England. I was a resource administrator dealing with Title IX and other special funding. After as a site principal I have continued to serve when needed as a site administrator.

Describe any other special skills or experience.
My special experience is in mentoring. I have been a mentor for an organized group called Mento-Connect for the past seven years. I am also involved with a Million Women Mentors.
Give your reasons for running for this office.
I believe that there needs to be continuity in the leadership goals. I would like to bring my experience in mentoring to foster the next generation of leaders.
75-word Goal Statement
I expect to contribute to the strategic plan for AAUW-CA and to support new leadership as well as increasing membership and diversity within the branches. In addition, I am very actively involved in Work Smart and hope to increase the number of participants in that activity.
