I have attended one AAUW National Convention. I met with legislators. Jackie Speier is a member of our branch and spent over an hour with our team.

I have not served on any national positions.
Describe your employment/professional experience, including current employment.
I am currently retired after 42 years as a faculty member at City College of San Francisco. For the past twenty years I have been the Executive Director of a National Center, Bio-Link, funded by the National Science Foundation, In that role, I have worked with community and technical colleges across the United States that are preparing the technical workforce for the biotech industry.

My special experience is in mentoring. I have been a mentor for an organized group called Mento-Connect for the past seven years. I am also involved with a Million Women Mentors.
Give your reasons for running for this office.
I believe that there needs to be continuity in the leadership goals. I would like to bring my experience in mentoring to foster the next generation of leaders.
75-word Goal Statement
I expect to contribute to the strategic plan for AAUW-CA and to support new leadership as well as increasing membership and diversity within the branches. In addition, I am very actively involved in Work Smart and hope to increase the number of participants in that activity.
