AAUW California will continue to embrace the advantages of the virtual world in 2021-22 by conducting another series of Zoom webinars on topics that promise to interest branch leaders, members, and the public. Several webinars will relate to this year’s focus: “M&Ms: Marketing and Membership.” Speakers will share ideas for building membership through marketing, publicity, advocacy, branch programs, etc. with a particular emphasis on engaging working and retirement age groups.

5/24/2022 7 PM Let's Talk Taxes: Government Filings Demystified
Even though all AAUW branches are tax-exempt organizations, they are still required to submit annual filings to several government organizations – the IRS, California Franchise Tax Board, and the California Attorney General’s Office. In this webinar, the Finance Committee will guide you through the gamut of forms such as 990s, 199s, RRF-1, CT-TR-1 and raffle reports, and answer questions. The webinar is useful for branch finance officers and presidents.
