Many resources are available which support action and branch programs on
AAUW's priority issues. They are organized into several sections, aligned with AAUW's public
policy action priorities. Some of these resources may appear in more than one section. We have
tried to provide a few keywords to help reveal the organization of links.
Equity for All Women and Girls (Equity Resources)
Civil rights, equitable compensation, access/equity in healthcare, support of statutes on
gender equity in education, economic self-sufficiency.
Lifelong Learning (Education Resources)
Equitable funding for public education, opposition to use of public funds for non-public k-12
education, universal preschool, continued educational reform, support of resources for higher education needs.
Positive Societal Change (Social Justice Resources)
Respect for diversity, opposition to discrimination, support of reproductive choice, including privacy,
support for dependent care programs, opposition to all forms of violence, increased access to family
planning services, voter registration and education, continued dialogue with elected officials,
campaign finance reform which enables women and minorities to seek elected office.
