In support of AAUW's mission and priorities, AAUW of California participates in the following coalitions:
Focusing on support of measures that ensure access to and full equity in health care for the lifelong
needs of all women and girls, including support of school-based health centers and expanded research and
insurance coverage; and supporting protection of individual choice in determination of one's reproductive
life, including the right to privacy; and supporting increased access to high-quality family planning services
and incentives to increase use of such services:
California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom:
This is the prime organization linking nonprofit organizations for reproductive choice in California,
meeting in both Sacramento and San Francisco.
California Women's Agenda: CAWA is a state action
alliance of over 500 organizations in California, working together to implement the Beijing Platform at the grassroots.
CAWA's objective is to link one million women and girls in collective action through real and "virtual" networks at the milennium.
Focusing on support of the right of women to achieve economic self-sufficiency and equal opportunities in the workplace:

Focusing on issues related to universal preschool, continued educational reform, and high-quality dependent care (especially for children):

begun in 1977 by AAUW, the League of Women Voters of California, and the California Parent Teacher Association as the California Coalition for Fair
School Finance, it now operates to "clarify complex education issues and to promote thoughtful decisions about public school
improvement." It publishes a variety of reports and annually holds virtually identical day-long seminars in Northern and
Southern California. AAUW receives all of their publications, which are available to our members. For information, contact
