AB: Assembly Bill.
All bills originating in the state assembly are title AB plus a
number.
ACR: Assembly Concurrent
Resolution. Usually done for
housekeeping or congratulatory purposes. A concurrent
resolution may originate in either house, but must pass both
to be effective. They do not need approval of the Governor.
Chapter: After passage by the
legislature and signature by the governor, a bill is filed
with the Secretary of State and given a chapter number.
Concurrence Vote: A process by which
the originating house reconsiders a bill to approve of the
amendments taken by the opposite house.
Enrollment: The process to prepare the
final form of a bill for the governor's signature.
SB: Senate Bill.
