Advocating for Women and Girls
|
Equity is the legal right of all women and girls. AAUW frames and fosters factual, in-depth, objective dialogue among legislators and change makers that results in political, institutional and legal support for women's equity in all areas of life and work. Since 1881 AAUW has worked tirelessly and successfully to gain and maintain access to that right. Visit the national website for details of the following activities and our many other initiatives and programs. 2010 Equal Pay Day Highlights At the 2010 AAUW CA Convention in San Ramon, Assembly Member Nancy Skinner, Berkeley, presented our Presidents with an Assembly Resolution recognizing April 20, 2010 as Equal Pay Day in California.
