$tart $mart is a Huge Success

Director Bakula Maniar says, "$tart $mart Campus Initiative has progressed beyond our expectations! Our WAGE trainer has presented nine training workshops at four-year colleges around the state, and our trained facilitators presented four more in northern California during the week of “Equal Pay Day” to increase awareness that a woman still makes only 77% of what a man makes and we have a long way to go."

Needless to say, many students were trained as well as many AAUW members, college faculty members, and community members who passionately believe in pay equity.

The workshops were held at CSU Fresno, CSU East Bay, San Jose State, and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo

We are happy to train members who can help us to carry on the programs in community colleges too. If you want to know more please contact Bakula at financialliteracydir@aauw-ca.org
