Financial Literacy Projects Going Strong!

Bakula Maniar, Financial Literacy Director, reports that both Financial Literacy projects are moving forward.

Money Trek  Two Money Trek workshops have been presented recently,  on January 21 to our student affiliates at Mt San Jacinto College and on February 12 to girls aged 12-18, an Advisory Committe for the Santa Clara County Office of Women's Policy.

A third one is scheduled for the same girls in Santa Clara County on March 13.

The Financial Literacy Committee will present a Money Trek workshop at our state convention in April.

$tart $mart  Four facilitator training workshops were held in November in So. California and five more are scheduled.

These are the last chances this year to become trained as a $tart $mart facilitator. For contact info, contact Bakula Maniar

  • April 18  Wednesday  East Bay   CSU East Bay
  • April 20  Friday   San Jose State Santa Clara

Three student workshops presented by trained facilitator are also scheduled:

February 25  Saturday  Univ. of San Diego  Eunis Christensen

March 20  Tuesday Sierra College, Rocklyn Michele Stark 

March 24  Saturday Mt. San Jacinto College Ursula Garrett
