Tech Trek Made the TV News!
Two Tech Trek camps, Irvine and Stanford Hopper, were featured on the national CBS News recently. While the narrator neglected to mention the AAUW CA connection, plenty of viewers found their way to the Tech Trek website (www.aauw-techtrek.org) for information about our science and math camps and, in one happy case, to download the Donation Form. The video can be watched from that site too.
Camp directors Amy Harbin, Jan Cook and Marie Wolbach worked with the video team and, in the case of Irvine, allowed them to film the girls in class and on a field trip. CBS looked for science camps for girls after three young women won the top three spots in the recent, first-ever, Google International Science Fair.
