I cannot believe what I see in the proposed by-laws changes : that we remove the requirement for a college/university degree for membership! Isn't that what gives us our identity? Many of us worked long and hard for this defining credential and it seems to me that if people want to join a no-standards organization, there are plenty around. This doesn't mean that people want to help us reach our stated goals they should not be allowed to help. Of course they can. They ust cannot be members.
Perhaps we should consider an "associate" membership level? That way, we
don't have compromise our standards. We could have a lower dues amount
and maybe limit the voting capabilities.
