With nearly 14,000 active members, AAUW California is a
dynamic organization with a long history of affecting change the issues women care
about: education, civil rights, equity in the workplace, reproductive rights, and gender
discrimination, to name a few.
Membership is open to people of any gender who hold an associate degree or higher. Students
working toward a qualifying degree may become student affiliates.
There are many ways to get involved with AAUW California:

|
With 155 branches throughout California, you're sure to find one nearby.
And you can always join our online branch, no matter where in the world you are!
Branch membership offers friendship with like-minded people and an arena for making a positive
contribution in your community. You will also get our hard-copy publication,
California Perspective, and you can join our e-mail lists and attend our annual
convention.

| Join as an Association Member-At-Large
|
Do you want to support AAUW's goals, but have no
time to be an active member? You can join the national AAUW organization directly,
bypassing branch and state membership. Of course, we encourage Association members-at-large
to support activism here in California by becoming a California member-at-large or joining
our online branch.
Currently, we have over 6,000 Association members-at-large in California.

If you're too far from the nearest branch, become a California
member-at-large! (But don't forget: You can belong to the Online Branch wherever you live!) Just like branch members, you will receive our
quarterly publication, California Perspective, and you can join our e-mail lists and
attend the annual convention.

| Join as a Student Affiliate

Students of any age or gender can become student affiliates, either
through a branch or as a member-at-large affiliate. To get started, find a branch in
your area. It's easy to switch to regular membership after getting your degree!
