The American Association of University Women of California has over fourteen thousand members in local branches, along with our college and university partner members. We are a part of the American Association of University Women, headquartered in Washington, D.C.
Here is our mission statement: AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
AAUW encourages diversity and has adopted the following: In principle and practice, AAUW values
and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization
on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.
Join AAUW -- check out our
Membership Page for further information about joining AAUW, membership benefits, etc.
We have over 155 branches in communities throughout California, as well as an online branch.
Check our Branches page, which includes links to an
alphabetical list of branches and to a separate list of branches by district, and features links to
branch newsletters which are available online, so you can see what is happening in your area.
In addition, AAUW California has an online branch, open to membership from any location, which operates entirely through its own website: http://www.aauwcaonline.org.
If branch membership does not meet your needs, AAUW California encourages Association Members-at-large
to also become AAUW California members-at-large.
Our Membership Vice President welcomes your inquiries about the type of membership that best
fits your needs. Contact K. Jackle via e-mail: membership@aauw-ca.org.
